She was born Christina Haack in Anaheim, California on the 9th of July, 1983. Her first job out of school was working in the industry of real estate. Tarek El-Moussa, her upcoming husband, was also in the business. The couple was very successful until the 2008 stock market crash when many real estate and home flippers collapsed. Tarek El Moussa and Christina El Moussa lost almost everything as a consequence of the 2008 stock market collapse. Following their move from a home that was costing them $6,000 a year to a place that was $700, they were close to losing everything. Their company, as well as the economy in general, slowly recovered. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek asked his close associate to record a HGTV video audition in the year 2011 featuring him and Christina flipping over a home. Pie Town Productions' executives took possession of the tape. They were thrilled of Tarek, Christina and their stories. The agreement was signed by the couple with HGTV. Flip of Flop was launched in April of 2013. In seven seasons, the show ran from 2013 until 2017. The show featured Christina and Tarek purchasing homes located in Orange County. They would invest weeks in transforming the homes to be able to sell their properties at a the profit. Tarek's main focus is demolition and renovations, whereas Christina prefers design.
