Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is an Romanian Actress. She received with the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress during The Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. She can fluently speak French, German English, and Romanian. Her father is a theater instructor at one of Romania's highest-rated theater schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008, she was named"an European Shooting Star" by the European Film Promotion Board. Anamaria Marinca, an actress with Romanian origins, made her screen debut in the British-Canadian television film Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for this role. Alongside her impressive performance in her debut film The actress will be remembered for her performance of the Romanian film "4 months 3 weeks 2 days" which won her numerous awards including her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. She was the lead in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 3 weeks, 4 months and 2 zile" (4 Months Three Weeks and 2 Days) which won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. It also received two additional awards: it was awarded the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) as well as the Cinema Prize. In addition, she appeared in The Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008, she played Yasim in BBC's Five-Episode The Last Enemy. Marinca has appeared in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. In the movie Fury (2014) in which she played Irma she was the German woman who played Emma's aunt.
